Description

The magazine was founded in 1926 by Victor Neuens (1898-1975). Friny Gilson (1893-1942) took over the editorship in 1935.

The Jonghémecht was devoted mainly to theatre, literature and folklore and was one of the main Luxembourg cultural magazines of their time. In 1933 and 1937 Tony Kellen (1869-1948) published the two special editions Die luxemburgische Geschichtsschreibung and Joseph Hurt in 1938 the special edition Theater in Luxemburg.
